Hi there!
My name is Alec Albright, and I am a current senior and first year Masters student at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA. My undergraduate studies are in Statistics and Audio Recording & Production, and my graduate studies are in Entertainment Industry Management. As my education is very strongly rooted in analytics, I have become even more comfortable with the foundations of mathematics, a subject in which I excelled throughout my time in high school as well. My GPA when graduating with an Honor's Diploma from Twinsburg High School in Twinsburg, OH was a 4.80 on a scale of 4, and my GPA at Carnegie Mellon is currently a 3.70.
With these strong foundations, I am looking to help middle school and high school students in a wide array of mathematics courses. I have a lot of experience working with younger students, from working as a camp counselor at 3 different camps spanning 6 summers to helping my little brother with his homework during his pursuit of a college acceptance. I absolutely love making things simple from the get-go, taking time to understand the fundamentals, and building upon that framework to create a lasting educational impact rather than simply cramming in order to get a passing grade on an upcoming test. I will take the time to sit down with students and figure out how to approach each and every problem with them, not for them, and I think that makes a huge difference.
