Born and raised in Cleveland , Ohio, attended Cathedral Latin School (now Notre Dame/Cathedral Latin School) and graduated in 1960.
Attended Fenn College (now Cleveland State University) and obtained a B S. in Engineering Sciences with majors in Chemistry and Materials Science engineering in 1965. Obtained a BS. in Chemistry with minors in physics and math in 1966.
Matriculated to Case-Western Reserve University and in 1967 obtained the MS in Physical Chemistry followed by the Ph.D. in Chemical Physics (Molecular Spectroscopy) in 1970.
Continued on at Case-WRU as a postdoctoral fellow in kenitic studies of aerosols from 1970-72. Migrated to the Geology Department at Case-WRU and established a Radiocarbon dating laboratory as part of the department's Dendrochronologic Institute.
Returned to the Chemistry Department at Case-WRU in 1974 as the Department's Non-Academic Manager until 1977.
Accepted a position at a multi-state Consulting Engineering and Facilities Planning firm as the Manager of Corporate Management and Planning. Planned to stay opnly a few years, but time got away and remained in that capacity until 2011 and finally took retirement.
Now it is time to "give back"what I have received, and the easiest method to do this is through assistance with the education of subsequent generations, particulary in the endeavors of science and technology, and perhaps even foster and encourage a love for the underlying beauty of Nature.
