I am a retired private school librarian who has also taught English, Special Education, and English as a Second Language. I have worked with all age groups from kindergarten to adult as a classroom teacher, mentor, librarian, and volunteer. I received a Master’s in Library Science from Drexel Univetsity and a B.A. in Secondary Education/English from George Washington University.

I have  two grown sons and three grandchildren. My greatest assets as a tutor are patience, sense of humor, empathy, consistency, communication, and high expectations. I send a written report to parents or guardians after each lesson. I believe that I am able to establish an excellent rapport with all age groups. In addition to working on basic skills and subject matter, I incorporate study and organizational (executive) skills whenever possible.
