Hi,
I am a retired special education teacher. I taught for 30 years at a vocational training center. I worked with developmentally disabled 15-21 year olds. I also served as Job Developer and Transition Cooordinator. I found jobs for our students and helped plan the lives of our graduates with their families.
I live in Hastings on Hudson with my husband and daughter. I am available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, orThursdays, during the day or after school on Thursday,(3:00-4:00)to help with reading, homework, or just to serve as an extra support person for your special needs child. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and a Masters in Special Education.
But, most importantly, I have a strong sense of compassion for both students and families of students who have special needs.
We can work out whatever arrangement fits for you. You can come to my house or I can work with your child over the computer through skype. Whatever works best.
