Hi! I'm Daniel. In the fall, I'll be an undergraduate at Brown University!

Foremost, I have several years of experience tutoring middle school and high school level French, Math/Physics, and Grammar. I happen to be proficient in spoken Mandarin Chinese as well since it was my first language. Additionally, I am an active flutist who has won many competitions and audition spots. While I have do not yet have a degree, my general academic track record provides a pretty good picture of my capacities. My experiences include 99th percentile scores on the NEW Redesigned SAT, an SAT Writing Multiple Choice perfect score, an 800 on the SAT Math II Subject Test, an 800 on the SAT Physics Subject Test, a 99th percentile score on the NEW PSAT 10 with consequent qualification as a current National Merit Scholarship Finalist, and being a previous Teen Jeopardy Contestant Search Finalist.

I am a very patient and diligent person, and having personally survived and familiarized myself with the contemporary middle and high school experience, including a thorough understanding of standardized tests, I find great compassion with other students. In fact, I believe that being a good learner has made me a more empathetic teacher as it helps me assimilate each student's unique way of understanding the material. When packaging a concept, I focus on intuitively prompting each student to start asking him or herself the right critical questions. After that, the student learns how to think more analytically on one's own.
