I have a BS in mechanical Engineering from UCONN. I have had some graduate school involving courses in education techniques.
I have been a teacher of high school math, physics, and astronomy for 26 years. My math experience includes Algebra I and II, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, and Trigonometry at both the Honors an College Prep levels. I have taught and developed programs for Astronomy, College Prep and Honors Physics while at Sacred Heart Academy. In between Holy Cross High School and Sacred Heart Academy, I spent some time programming some very complex apps at United Illuminating Co.
With all of this experience you can see that I emphasize real world applications in my teaching. As an engineer, I am aware of the practicality of math and physics. I have had many students come into my classes fearful and/or apprehensive and leave with a smile because they "got it". While I cannot guarantee a grade, I can assure you that I will raise your confidence level so you will perform at your very best.
