I am a 20 + year teaching veteran in the Everett and Northshore School Districts. The majority of my experience is with 7-9th grade students, and I love the Junior High / Middle School age group. My teaching assignments have included ELL, General Education, and Gifted classes. I currently serve as the English Language Arts Instructional Specialist for the Northshore School District. In this role I have become an expert in the Common Core State Standards, their implementation, and the upcoming Smarter Balanced assessments. My duties have also included managing the recent Northsore School District’s Junior High English Curriculum adoption. I am well qualified to guide your student's growth in English Language Arts in a way that is individually tailored to your student's strengths and abilities and is aligned to the new Common Core State Standards and upcoming 2015 assessments. I am mother of three daughters in the Northshore School District.
