My background is in Child Development, but I also taught a variety of grades (Pre-K through 5th) in various settings. I've been tutoring for the last 12 years and really enjoy the one on one interaction. I've assisted students in Pre-K through 1st grade with readiness skills, improving phonemic awareness and basic math skills. I've also worked with students in grades 2-5, strengthening comprehension skills and improving phonics for pronouncing larger words and spelling. I'm trained in specialized reading programs that assist with these challenges and provide a systematic approach to ensure student success.
