My goal as a tutor is to create a safe, mutually respectful environment where a student can be creative, ask questions, experiment, make mistakes, and have fun while learning. Using the assigned curriculum, I'll look for relevant, meaningful experiences and inspiring activities to use to meet the learning objectives.
I earned my Bachelor of Science degree from Eastern Michigan University, and my Professional Certification for K-5 all subjects and 6-8 Science and Social Studies. I'll use my enthusiasm for teaching, as well as my education and 10 years of teaching experience to help your student to be academically successful. The greatest joy in teaching is when you can see a student's growth and understanding of new concepts (a.k.a. the “light bulb”). I'd love to help your student shine!
