I have summers off and am available from Mondays-Fridays from 8:00 A.M.-6:00 P.M. I am free Saturday mornings from 9:00 A.M.-12:00 P.M.

*Bachelor's Degree in English with a concentration in Education, Coaching, and Creative Writing from SUNY Buffalo (Spring 2012)

Hello! My name is Katie and I'm a 1st grade teacher in the Bronx that will begin teaching Kindergarten next year. I graduated with my Master's degree in Early Childhood Special Education from Hunter College in the Spring of 2014. I have been pursuing other extension degrees in Behavior Disorders and TESOL since then. I have substitute taught for a year before I became a full-time teacher for my school this past year. I love Early Childhood and being hands on and directly involved in a child's learning.
I believe all children are capable of success and just need to be self-aware of their glows and strengths and how to improve on their weaknesses to grow as a learner. I have previously done Recreation activities for 4 years at a treatment center and enjoy being actively engaged in therapeutic/creative activities. I look forward to speaking with you regarding how we will assist your child's educational growth as a team!
