My name is Lindsey Plyler, a high school teacher and tutor of students from middle school through graduate school. I am certified in grades 7-12 English and Social Studies and have taught for 5 years. My experience ranges from remedial to college-level work in most disciplines, and I have worked extensively with students seeking selective admissions opportunities.
My teaching and tutoring philosophy holds that my role is that of a coach- I don't tell, I show! I work with my students as teammates striving for the same trophy: their own unique success. I am also a tireless cheerleader for my students, encouraging them even when we are standing together in the face of a challenge that seems unbeatable. We can beat anything- you can beat anything, and love doing it!
