I am a career educator who has been teaching for 15 years.  I have been homeschooling and tutoring for 7 years.  I have worked with elementary, middle and high school students and have helped college students write essays. I specialize in the Humanities (English, Literature, Grammar, Vocabulary, Social Studies and History) with a special emphasis on writing.  All of my students, regardless of what they are studying, become better writers when they work with me.  Students learn to write high-quality essays that include brainstorming, outlining, composition, editing and proofreading.  Another benefit students receive is instruction in study skills, including prioritization, organization, memorization techniques and time management.   I am patient and encouraging while teaching to each student's individual learning style.  I like to set goals and meet challenges while working at a comfortable pace.  I have high positive regard for every student, and I genuinely care about their progress.  I have a gift for motivating, and I have a sense of humor.
