After working for three years at the top test prep and tutoring company in Washington, D.C., I decided to move to sunny Carlsbad, CA and start my own company.
I founded ScoreBuilder Test Prep in 2014. ScoreBuilder Test Prep is a boutique, private test prep and tutoring company that serves families and students across North County San Diego. As a company of one, I pride myself on providing the highest quality tutor and better results than larger test prep organizations. A recent graduate of Johns Hopkins University and Georgetown University, I know what it takes to succeed both on standardized tests and in the classroom! Unlike most other tutors on Wyzant, I license my materials directly from the top test prep company in Washington DC (where I still work and Skype tutor students remotely), so I have custom-generated prep materials proven to help build higher scores and access to unlimited practice tests. While my rates may be more expensive than other tutors on here, the extra investment will give you all of the benefits of a large, successful prep company with the dedication and customer service of a small business. And unlike large tutoring company, you know exactly who you will be working with!
In tutoring session, I guide students through an array of standardized tests they must face by reviewing the content featured on the tests, teaching proven strategies for success, and building confidence for test day. My personalized approach focuses on each student's strengths and weaknesses and has proven to build higher scores.
On average, my students have improved overall scores by 230 points on the SAT and by 4-5 points on the ACT!
In addition to the ACT and SAT, I have helped many students conquer the difficulties of Math & Science courses, SAT Subject Tests, and AP Exams. Common subject that I work with students on include:
