Hi! My name is Michaela, and I am currently a student at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. I am from Sorrento, FL, where I live during the summer. I have a broad background in many styles of education, having been homeschooled and enrolled in public and private schools. Throughout my educational experience, I have always known how to keep myself busy! In high school, I dual-enrolled, took high-school classes, volunteered at several different organizations (about twelve hours a week), played in youth and church orchestras, and still found time to practice my instrument! I learned how to manange my time efficiently and study effectively. I have often been asked to help fellow students with assignments and studying, which has helped me learn how to work with different learning styles for the best results. Right now, I am a Harp Performance and Molecular and Cellular Biology double-major. In addition to full (or overloaded) course loads, I volunteer teaching music lessons at a local community school and also teach science lessons at local middle schools through Vanderbilt Student Volunteers for Sciece. I also am a teaching assistant in the Vanderbilt Harp Department and in the Musicology and Ethnomusicology Department. I thoroughly enjoy helping others learn and grow, and would love to help you as well!
