I am a working as an analyst in the cancer diagnostic field. I graduated in May 2017 from the University of Maryland with a degree in Bioengineering. While in high school, I had experience tutoring students a year below me in Math and Physics. I partook in these through the National Honor Society, but also through my mathematics teacher at the time recommending me to privately tutor one of her younger students.
This upcoming fall I will be attending New York University to pursue a Masters of Science degree in Data Science, which will further my interests in programming, statistics, math, and analytics.
While learning the general subject of math, I never want students to think they have to memorize any information. It is important to know the underlying concept of the problem and how it could be applied to other problems they might encounter, and I hope I can help develop that understanding.
