Education
M.A. in Mathematical Statistics from Wayne State University, M.S. in Applied Mathematics from Carnegie Mellon University, and PhD in Ind. Engineering from University of Pittsburgh.
- Algebra,Geometry,Trigonometry,Finite Mathematics-> rate: $20/hr,
- Calculus, Linear Algebra ->rate: $25/hr,
- Probability, Differential Equations -> rate: $30/hr
- Had taught as an instructor at Mathematics departments in various universities, domestic (Temple University) or abroad (several universities in Taiwan) for 8 years,
- Had been a TA for Mathematics and Statistics courses for several years.
- Has tutored many Pitt and CMU freshman and sophomore students for 3 years.
My Motivations:
My goal of being a tutor is to help students understand the material, complete homework assignments and prepare for exams in the afor-mentioned courses in exchange for a reasonable compensation.
Usually after receiving my tutoring for a few weeks or months, students can see their grades improved, and I enjoyed helping them achieve their goals in school.
