NYS and NYC Licensed educator, I have taught in private and public schools and have a long list of tutor clients. My customized art infused academic approach allows students to enjoy subjects they struggle with. I offer a thorough assessment that includes cognitive, emotional and performance observations and can offer suggestions to help achieve learning goals. I can work with OT goals, and/or offer cognitive support. Among many I hold a huge record of success. I work with average stressed kids, autistic, dyslexics, folks recovering from loss of movement or needing to regain mental capacity due to brain injuries and other neurological set-backs. I have been a private tutor for art groups and I am a professional development presenter. My parent reference list is long. In fact, many literally rave about what I have done with their children. Several of my students have gotten to higher inclusion classes in school in less than 2 years, a few no longer needing my support, that in-school support is enough now. My students characterized me this way: "Fantastic Tutor" ~ Jonathan, Yorktown Hts., NY; "Great" ~ Krishna, Mt. Kisco; "Such a wonderful and patient Teacher" ~ Despina, Somers, NY; "Finding the Light for Dyslexia" ~ Merritt, Be, NY; "Wonderful Special Needs Tutor" ~ Vita, Stamford, CT.
