I am currently a college student, and have experience tutoring face-to-face and online in Elementary Mathematics, Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, College Algebra, English, Grammar, Proofreading, Study-Skills, and Psychology.
I have always enjoyed helping others learn, even when I was in grade school and a friend of mine needed some guidance. My favorite subject is math, though, and I am currently working towards a career as a mathematics professor. It will be a long journey, but I would not want to do anything else. I have formally tutored a few students at my college and helped them earn not only a good grade, but also a real understanding of their mathematics. I am eager to gsin more experience and to build relationships and help many more students succeed.
My goal is to help students develop a strong foundation in the subject they may be having difficulty with. This first creates a confidence in them, that will encourage them to continue to work hard and succeed. I try to explain things in more than one way, to ensure students are able to apply things in a variety of ways.
