Being a reading specialist in Westchester for the last 12+ years and a classroom educator for 6 years before that, I have enjoyed teaching students and leading them to success. Continually retooling myself professionally has kept me motivated to learn new techniques and strategies to help students achieve their goals. As a mother of two grown children, I understand the academic and social demands on kids. When frustrations arise in school, specialized tutoring can attend to your children's needs and alleviate their struggles. Through my graduate courses, instructung new teachers, I see the frustration they have with their struggling students. With proper, targeted instruction, I can help your children succeed, feeling more confident to participate in school lessons and activities. Whether in first or eighth grade, I can help your children increase their performance. Through informal assessment and observartion, their weaknesses will be revealed and so I can directly impact their learning while embracing their strengths. With various high quality literature, non fiction, high interest magazines, manipulatives for word work including developing spelling and decoding skills, your children will enjoy learning one on one.
