Maybe you have heard a professor say "good writing is re-writing."  It is true.  Make an effort to finish your paper several days before it is due and then give it a rest for a day or two before you try to edit and revise it.  You will come back with a fresh perspective on the overall work and it will be easier to catch those spelling and grammar mistakes.
