Don't Cry or Scream, GLEAN

Parents/Guardians, homework time is not the time for Simon Says:
- If your child begins to cry and/or scream before, but PARTICULARLY during homework time do not follow suit and begin to cry and scream behind and with them.
- If your child begins to stomp, throw things, pout before, but ESPECIALLY during homework time, do not feel like or proceed to one-up them. Parent/Guardian say, "I will not allow my child to be Simon in this manner".
- This is the time to sympathize with you child. Tell them what your weakest subject in school was. Tell them a serious or funny story about your fear of doing work for that course (we all have one I'm sure...I know I do). And then tell them how you overcame the bad feeling about learning the subject and/or just simply finishing that one assignment for the course (That means pick a HAPPY-ENDING example. If you don't have one a HAPPY-ENDING example either say what you should have done or share someone else's - they probably won't mind)
